Path benefits toolkit

We developed a toolkit to allow community groups to undertake evaluations of path networks to investigate the economic and social benefits of path development and use. In addition, we provided strategic advice to the Partnership regarding their support to community path groups.

The toolkit is designed to help community groups find out how their local path networks make a contribution to the economy as well as social well-being for those who use the paths. Like many other projects that we have been involved with, this toolkit helps to structure the evidence  so that the people involved, and the organisations that provide funding, can see exactly what impact has been made.

The Path Benefits Toolkit is available online at: http://www.pathsforall.org.uk/benefits_toolkit/

The toolkit was adapted from a methodology developed by the Sport Industry Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University.
