Land Management
All of the UK's land is managed to some extent. But different land uses have different needs and can impact on the environment in different ways. In some cases there may be grants available to help land managers maximise their environmental benefit, or you may need to consider what your land management business should be doing to demonstrate how you are protecting the environment.
Walking-the-Talk can help you with:
- Applications to the Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP) - Rural Priorities scheme
- Completion of Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ) forms
- Completion of nutrient budgets
- Diffuse pollution audits
- Compliance with farm assurance schemes
Examples of work we've completed include:
Preparation of NVZ forms - we complete NVZ forms on an on-going bases for a number of farmers within Aberdeenshire
Farming and the environment - delivery of awareness-raising events and on-farm advice to land managers in the Savoch burn catchment near Fraserburgh
Submission of SRDP forms - we've developed SRDP proposals for a number of farmers, including woodland creation schemes
