Tamsin has recently been working on the Birds and Bee project, along with six other farm conservation advisors, all members of the Scottish Farming and Wildlife Advisers Group (ScotFWAG). The project has worked with over 60 Scottish farmers to create habitat benefiting many species of birds and bees. The farmers involved in the project come from all across Scotland, but Tamsin has been working with farmers in Orkney and Aberdeenshire.

The Walking-the-Talk Chief Executive was very excited to finally get back out into the field for some peat depthing around Assynt. Good weather, not too many midges and oh, the occasional bit of ball chasing as well......

Finally, we had a chance to get back in the field yesterday for some freshwater pearl mussel surveying, taking our special, Covid compliant, fully self contained welfare facilities with us - complete with its new Walking-the-Talk livery. It was lovely to be back outside and getting some work done, and the van means we can be completely self-contained, with no need for accommodation or shops. At least until the chocolate supplies run out..... Hopefully it won't be forever, but at least it means we can carry on with survey work for summer 2020.
